University-business collaboration through work based learning

 

Arayik Navoyan, coordinator Erasmus + programme “Introducing work-based learning in higher education systems of Armenia and Moldova for better employability of graduates” (WBL4JOB) project, took part in “University-business collaboration through work based learning” initiated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and sport, Deutsche Wirtschaft Verband and National Erasmus Office in Armenia on 2 June, 2021. 

The cluster meeting was devoted to achievement and challenges of University and industry cooperation and the ways ongoing Erasmus+ projects are addressing them.  Is this sense the WBL4JOB project objectives and expected results are in line with the expected solutions. The project coordinator mentioned the crucial role of Miniseries in Armenia and Moldovia to adaptation of legal policies of Apprenticeship Based High Education Model (AHEM) in WBL. 

 WBL4JOB project was presented. In particular, the participant discussed the objectives of WBL4JOB project, challenges of implementation of the project in Armenia and Moldovia, its sustainability issues.

The crucial role of the Ministries in Armenia and Moldovia was mentioned in the concept of WBL through the adoption of the policy and legal amendments and Apprenticeship based Higher Educational Model (AHEM).

In terms of main challenges, it was particularly mentioned the weakness of

Employers intermediate organization (Chamber of Commerce, Union of Employers, branch Union of Employers) and necessity of finding good balance while introduction.
